Arturo Gigante is Art Director/Creative Director, tireless advocate of creative innovation and current Chief Creative Officer of Burns Group. He believes in big ideas, risk taking and the importance of the strategic/creative process to inform a brand’s own unique story.
Prior to joining Burns Group, Arturo co-founded his own advertising agency, Spork NY in Soho, where he produced work for SportsNet NY, Honora Pearls and Nature’s Bounty. Originally from Puerto Rico, Arturo is a graduate of the College Park School of Advertising at the University of Maryland. He spent 14 years at Ogilvy in New York, working on global brands like IBM, American Express, Kodak and Kraft’s Capri Sun, as well as niche clients like Fage Yogurt and the New York Mets. His career began at Trahan, Burden and Charles in Baltimore, where he worked for accounts such as Harrah’s Casinos and the Maryland Lottery.
He lives in Maplewood, New Jersey, with his wife and two children. And when he’s not obsessing over ways to connect brands with consumers, he’s readying his fly rod and obsessing over the perfect cast.
We spent two minutes with Arturo to learn more about his background, creative inspirations and recent work he admires.
