Far cry 6 puts you in the fictional land of Yara and it’s one of the most beautiful and fun places to explore in the entire series. Part of what makes the map great is the interactions you can have with the animals that inhabit it. Whether it’s training crocodiles to hunt down enemies or using your trusty dog ââChorizo ââto wreak havoc, you’re very much in tune with the wildlife that inhabit Yara. It’s not just for land animals, as one of the side missions called Shock Therapy requires you to feed pelicans and another called A Little Birdie told me it involved a scavenger hunt and pelicans. It’s easier said than done, so here’s how to feed the pelicans in Far Cry 6.
How to feed pelicans in Far Cry 6
Before you can feed a pelican in Far Cry 6, you must first find something to feed it. What do pelicans typically eat? Fish of course! So we’re going to need a fishing rod and then we’re going to need to catch three fish for this particular quest. Once you have your food in tow, we need to find a temporarily grounded pelican in order to feed it.
The part of the map where you will find pelicans most easily is called the La Joya region, which is on the eastern side of the map. The map will show you the area where the pelican hunting sites are located, so zoom in to find the right one for you.
Once you have your pelican in your sights, it’s time to get stealthy as if it hears you approaching, it will fly away and you will have to wait for another to land. To prevent it from flying away, crouch down and approach very slowly. When you get close enough, you will receive a prompt to feed it. If you manage to do this without it blowing away you can feed it more and once you do it 3 times this mission step will be completed.
Far Cry 6 doesn’t exactly reinvent the wheel, but it’s a fun, if not familiar, one-of-a-kind adventure with an incredible villainous performance by Giancarlo Esposito and well worth it.
Far cry 6 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
