Isotropic Systems unveils the world’s first line of multi-link, mobile Ka-band military terminals

The GM2000 terminal range is designed to provide NATO forces and allies with total mission assurance. Achieve industry firsts in path resiliency, intelligence, and communications convergence and deliver simultaneous multi-orbit communications from a single, solid-state, fully integrated, and defined by software.

LONDON and WASHINGTON, March 21, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Isotropic Systems today unveiled the GM2000 Series; a new multilink, military-specification, Ka-band satellite ground terminal featuring a fully integrated power supply and a wide range of modem options for communications-in-motion (COTM) applications designed for defense of NATO. The new line of terminals provides full path resiliency and mission assurance and meets DoD JADC2 requirements and CS25 and CS27 requirements for the US military.

GM2000 Series Isotropic Systems

The new GM2000 Series is a single, solid-state, fully integrated terminal designed to operate high-performance, multiple, simultaneous links in all orbits, providing flexible transport-layer diversity and redundancy.

The GM2000 Series range operates on all commercial and military Ka-band frequencies with a wide range of software-defined bandwidth and link configuration options. The GM2000 series comes with a full range of terminal size options at launch 2H 2022 and will be available with software-enabled multi-link capabilities. No satellite terminal of any type or equivalent size can transmit or receive more aggregate bandwidth than the isotropic GM range.

“Space is no longer the invulnerable high ground it once was. In the wake of new space capabilities, solutions that sacrifice application capabilities, performance, bandwidth and performance or burden NATO with added costs, real estate or high skill levels, none more adequately serve modern military forces,” said John Finney, CEO and Founder of Isotropic Systems. “While total mission assurance is achieved by converging multiple domains across multiple orbits with simultaneous ‘always-on’ connections provided by our GM2000 family, enabling path resiliency and superior availability. The flexibility to go n Anywhere, connecting to any space, anytime, is paramount to the strategic advantage required by NATO and its allies. Isotropic’s multi-link technology is now field-proven. first time it is possible to run multiple simultaneous links from a single solid-state device and converge operational intelligence platforms with multiple in-orbit communications systems Combined with the ever-expanding range of satellite options in multiple orbits, EO platforms and more, we open the door to a new architecture, connecting the most advanced space systems in a single app areil on the go, as a key enabler of NATO’s comprehensive, secure and deterrent network infrastructure. »

Isotropic will present its first multi-orbit tests to the world and an extensive range of defense and commercial mobility products by launching 2H 2022 in room 303 of the SATELLITE 2022 exhibition and conference washington d.c., March 21-24.
