May 1-31 – Spring turkey season continues for upstate New York.

May 28-June 5 – Annual Catt. Catfish Creek Tournament noon to midnight. Two-person teams, $100 entry fee. Best total weight of the six catfish. Compulsory pool. One-day Seneca Nation fishing license included. Boats, kayaks and bank fishermen allowed. Pre-registration begins on May 15 at the Catt. Creek Bait and Tackle, 11158 Route 20, Irving.

May 28-30 – 58e Annual lake trout derby on Seneca Lake.

May 29 – Spring trap league continues at the Boston Valley Conservation Society, 9624 Zimmerman Road, Boston for 10 weeks. Shooting Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Targets can be ATA registered. Call Ernie Miller at 335-4111 for more information.

May 29 – The Spring Trap League continues 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays at the Allied Sportsmen’s Club, 12846 Clinton St., Alden. Also from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays.
